Biography:

Partner Shelly O’Neill has been recognized as one of the leading criminal defense attorneys in Northern Nevada. Shelly has more than thirty years of experience and nearly seventy jury trials to her credit, with numerous not guilty verdicts including murder, burglary, embezzlement, battery with a deadly weapon, fraud and domestic battery. She has been successful in obtaining the dismissal of child sexual assault charges and recently received a ruling to exclude evidence of child pornography based upon illegal search and seizure methods by law enforcement.

Practicing in municipal, justice, drug and district courts, Shelly is widely known for skill and good judgment in resolving the most difficult crimes. She often represents juvenile offenders and works with probation officers and masters in redirecting their lives.

Ms. O’Neill has been successful in obtaining probation for drug trafficking clients and has tried more than one thousand DUIs. She has been honored by the American Bar Association as "ONE OF THE FIRST ONE HUNDRED WOMEN ADMITTED TO PRACTICE IN NEVADA". She is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and has achieved "Master" status with the Inns of Court.
